Alright, we're back. And Aude is crying again. You'll
have to excuse her, this has been a tiring trip so far. Random
fact of the day : there's a kind of moth in Madagascar that
feeds on birds tears. Does that creep you out as much as it
does me? : o
This page is the one that took me the longest so far. It's
the castle - even though it's tiny and the detail probably
doesn't matter, I knew you'd be able to tell if I didn't have
a clear image of what is what in my head. The last time I
drew it, I was improvising, and it didn't come out nearly
as good.
I was glad I had a chance to show that the giants come in
different sizes and anatomical structures : ) Only one person
so far has guessed where my inspiration for the giants came
from... It was the walking figures from Giacometti.
Here's a decent picture of some of them, but try to imagine
the effect when you're standing in front of them and they're
three times your height :

Do you understand my fascination with them? It just blows
my mind how basic figures like these can seem so lonely and
tormented and desperate! *shivers*
Back to business: today's page is chalk and pencil over sandpaper,
and the original (no text) is for sale for 75$.
