I forgot to write something important! The hero of Prismatic Vodka makes a two page stop in the world of Fainting Spells, so go see! Fox is in there, looking all handsome and deep ;o) I will be doing a Prismatic Vodka cameo as well, but I want to finish this chapter first since we're so close to the end of volume 1!

Also, I uploded the new vote incentives - sorry they're late again. Sometimes the pages just take so long to draw that I don't have time to get started on the next one by the time I update. Anyway, vote buttons are to the left, please go clicky-clicky to see a preview of the next page (which should be updated around 8:30am tomorrow).

I thought I was due to experiment a little, so I decided to test whether watercolor pencils worked on canvas. The answer is... sort of. But it's not very practical because you can't erase or paint over anything and it comes out so pale that you can't really hide a sketch underneath either. I still have a lot of canvas left, so I'll try something different next time. Since I was running late for this page, I haven't had a chance to get started on tomorrow's, so chances are it will be a bit late too.

About the romance between Aude and Joshua : if you asked them, they'd go "blech!" in proper kid fashion. Personally I think relationships between best friends aren't very different from romantic relationships. Both Aude and Joshua had a hard time making friends before they met each other. Aude always felt like she was being picked on at school (which was sometimes true) and Joshua had the tendency to take out his frustration on other kids. When he moved in next door, they instantly clicked. Since they both tried to spend as much time as possible out of the house and were pretty much sharing the same yard, it became natural for them to spend every day together (though they are in different classes at school - Josh is a year older, and they even have different break hours).

I think they bonded easily because they both had problems at home and needed someone to confide in. Even though they're not really having "romantic" thoughts, they've made a promise to live together forever. Joshua would definitely feel betrayed if Aude chose not to run away with him, but that's not what he's worried about - he's convinced that she'll follow him to the ends of the Earth. Actually, he's trying to decide whether he should bring her along. Aude's life at home is not nearly as dramatic as his, so he worries about needlessly dragging her into more problems. Aw, he's such a good kid : )

At the moment, all Aude is worried about is being alone again, without her best friend to confide in.

Donations are nice, but I figure if you help me out, you should get something in return. There are two ways you can really help me keep this project afloat :

• Buy original artwork or prints of the pages (email me to see if a page is available)
• Request something! I do commission work now. Email me with details of what you want, and I'll let you know how much it is.
